In order to enforce a new civil use of the impressive vaults the society "Fort
Gorgast"e.V. was founded on
April 14th,1999.
It supports the community Küstriner Vorland which wants to preserve the fort as a
monument and to develop new contents.
The opening of the construction for tourism, for culture arrangements, art and other
creative activities as well as a lively discussion about history are of special interest.
